I know the Year of Philanthropy is over and that, as far as blogging is concerned, I kinda blew it. I was definitely more philanthropic last year than the year before, and I plan to work harder and harder at being a more generous person.
One thing I will definitely keep up-- though maybe I shouldn't-- is my blood donation. I'll also keep blogging it here, if that's okay with you.
Bradley and I had a session today. Let's start with Bradley:
Yeah, the usual. Bradley kicked ass, took names. And as for me:
Not so much! No big surprise there, eh? I made it all the way to the table and through about half a donation before they had to abort. The needle wasn't in properly (*gag*), which kind of ticks me off because I asked the nurse to check both of my arms and he didn't. He just started on my left arm and then couldn't get a proper... whatever. Position.
My arm flippin' hurts, and I have to keep icing it. But I didn't cry this time, which I guess is a step up?
I'm chalking this one up to Not Entirely My Fault. And they got 1/2 or 3/4 of a donation, which they can use for testing.
But I didn't save lives today.
